I currently recruit for the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source, Business Innovation Directorate (BID), and UK Astronomy Technology Centre (UK ATC) departments within STFC. The roles for which I recruit are varied – from Mechanical Engineers for ISIS, to Business Development Managers for BID – so I am always keen to connect with a diverse range of talent in these areas.

I work on the apprenticeship team providing operational coordination and administration for the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) apprenticeship scheme. I provide support and guidance to managers, supervisors and apprentices on non-engineering standards.
Ria Poliquin – Apprenticeship Coordinator
I am responsible for the operational delivery and coordination of the engineering Apprenticeship programmers at STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL). Predominantly our apprentices work in Engineering, Computing, IT, business administration, as laboratory technicians, and in estates roles across various levels and across all departments. I am a strong advocate of apprenticeships because they allow people to gain structured training and qualifications in a real working environment and they get to earn while they learn.
Jonathan Aghanian – Apprenticeship Coordinator – North
I am responsible for the operational delivery and multi-faceted coordination of the Apprenticeship Scheme at STFC Daresbury Laboratory (DL). Predominantly our apprentices work in Engineering, Computing, and Project Management roles. However, Daresbury has a wide-range of apprentices working in various roles, disciplines, and levels across all departments – from early-career school leavers, right through to senior managers. I have many years experience working across various youth/employment projects and strongly believe apprenticeships provide sustainable, rewarding careers at any stage in your working life.
